Having your measured weight be lower than the actual weight can indicate a number of possible problems. Here are a few possible causes and solutions:
Cause: Not all of your weight is properly on the weighing part of the pad.
Solution: Make sure that you are stable on the scale, and that your wheels are not touching the sides of the pads. If you do not seem to be properly centered on each pad, check your pad setup.
Cause: There was weight on the scale when connecting.
Solution: It's important to make sure that there was no weight on the scale when connecting. Try removing any possible weight, then reconnect to the scale by closing and reopening the Lilypad App.
Cause: The stored wheelchair weight may be too high.
Solution: The wheelchair weight stored on your phone will be automatically subtracted, so if the stored weight is too high, which could happen if you're using a different wheelchair than usual or if the weight was store incorrectly, this will look like your measured weight being too low. Try re-storing your wheelchair weight.
Cause: A pad is improperly calibrated.
Solution: This is an unlikely problem, but if nothing else helped then it may be the case. To fix this, send an email to support@lilypadscales.com or call us at 1-855-5459.
