Sometimes after setting up your Lilypad scale and then rolling on to check the setup, you may feel unsteady, unstable, or like you need to hold your wheels to stay where you are. This is a significant problem that may affect the accuracy of your scale, since it indicates that your wheels are not in the proper locations on the pads. This problem is usually caused by a misalignment in the front to back locations of the pads. To solve this problem, try the following steps:
-
Check that each pad is properly aligned with the velcro on the mat. Check that the velcro sticking out on each side is properly lined up with the center of the pad. Adjust the locations of any pads if necessary, and try rolling on.
-
If you still feel unsteady, try checking the location of the Velcro placed on your mat. Do this by removing each of the four pads, and then rolling onto the mat straight so that your wheels are lined up with the Velcro. Check that each Velcro strip is directly under each wheel's axle. If any Velcro strips do not appear to be lined up, try moving them so that they are. Then try replacing the pads and rolling on.
