The batteries will need to be changed approximately once per year. If you are using your scale regularly, the app will alert you when your batteries are low and it is time to replace them.
Items needed to change the batteries:

8 new AA batteries (2 for each of 4 pads)

one Philips head screwdriver

one flathead screwdriver or pair of pliers

Remove the four screws in the corners of each pad. Keep them in a safe place as you will need to screw them back in afterward. Do not remove other screws or you will void your warranty.
- Remove the two green covers on each pad.
- Remove the battery case and pry out the batteries with a flathead screwdriver or pliers, then replace with new AA batteries. Put the covers back on and screw them back in place, taking care not to pinch any wires.
